| When and where is
the Contest and Fan Convention taking place? |
The contest and convention will take place on 8th 9th &
10th January 2010.
The entire contest and convention will be held at the Norbreck Castle,
Blackpool.
The main stay accommodation will be the Norbreck Castle, Blackpool. 01253

All four qualifying rounds will take place at The Norbreck Castle.
Heat A - Friday 8th January 2010 (Afternoon)
Heat B - Friday 8th January 2010 (Evening)
Heat C - Saturday 9th January 2010 (Afternoon)
Heat D - Saturday 9th January 2010 (Evening)
Semi-Finals - Sunday 10th January 2010 (Afternoon)
Finals - Sunday 10th January 2010 (Evening)

| How do I register
as a contestant for the main contest ? |
i. Contestants can register on-line at this website.
ii. By printing and posting form available at this website.
iii. Contact us via email to request a form

Convention registration fees are as follows: £40.00 per contestant. Please
make cheques payable to Elvis Contests Ltd.
Please note that all contestants must also sign the Contest Agreement to
participate in the contest. This agreement is part of your registration
form.
All performers must register for the contest. |
| Heat Info |
You can perform any two Elvis songs of your choice to
backing track accompaniment.
Elvis medley's are allowed as long as Elvis performed it in the exact
same medley song content.
Contestants will be informed of their heat confirmation at least 7 days
before contest start.
Running order of contestants for heats will be drawn on the evening of
Thursday 7th January 2010.
Please be sure to make yourself available at least one hour prior to
your contest heat
Contestants musical backing must be in preferably Mini-Disc format, or a
1st copy CD recording.
Backing tracks must be clearly labelled and cued up ready to perform.
Please note if your track includes a silent pause this will be played. No
intro or outro music is permitted. |
| Semi-final |
Contestants will gain entry to the
semi-finals from the 4 Qualifying Heats (8th & 9th January 2010). The 20
highest scoring contestants from combined Heat A, Heat B, Heat C & Heat D
will qualify for the Sunday Afternoon Semi-Final.
You can perform any two Elvis songs of your choice to backing track
accompaniment.
Elvis medley's are allowed as long as Elvis performed it in the exact
same medley song content.
Running order of contestants for heats will be announced on the morning
of Sunday 10th January 2010.
Please be sure to make yourself available at least one hour prior to the
contest semi-final.

| Live final |
Contestants will gain entry to the live
final from either of the following:
i. The ten contestants with the highest number of audience votes from the
semi-final qualify for the final.
ii. Pre-qualified by gaining 1st 2nd or 3rd at the January 2009 Main
Contest
Important Info:
The Contest Grand Final will take place on the evening of Sunday 10th
January 2010.
Finalists will perform three songs.
Please be sure to make yourself available at least one hour prior to the
Contest Grand Final.
Running order for Grand Final will be drawn on the afternoon of Sunday
10th January 2010.
All finalists must use the Elvis Contests Ltd designated house band.
Please note overall winner of the Grand Final will be asked to
perform a 30minute showcase directly after the results are announced, and
in doing so receives the honour of closing the entire event.

contest be judged ? |
Heats will be judged by an Elvis Contests Ltd select panel.
Semi-Finals will be judged by an audience vote.
Finals will be judged by a combined audience vote and web telecast user
vote.
Vocals: Ability of the ETA to match the sound and quality of Elviss
voice.
Appearance: Ability to create a look and style that well represents
Elvis.
Performance: Ability to perform as Elvis in a style in which he would
have
performed.
Stage Presence: Ability to re-create the charisma Elvis created when
performing on stage.

| Gospel Contest ? |
Contestants entering the main contest have the
option of being entered into the Elvis Gospel Contest FREE OF CHARGE.
Contestants wishing to participate in the Gospel Contest only will incur
an entrance fee of £15.00.
Novice contestants are not permitted to enter the Gospel contest.
Gospel contest will take place in the Norbreck Ballroom adjacent to the
main arena. |

The novice contest will take place on the afternoon
of Sunday 10th January 2010
Novice contest will take place in the Norbreck Ballroom adjacent to the
main arena.
A novice contestant agrees to have never performed an Elvis show as an
ETA be it paid or un-paid.
Running order of contestants will be made on the day.
All Novice contestants must sign an entry/agreement form.
Contestants musical backing must be on preferably Mini-Disc format, or
1st copy CD recordings. Musical backing tracks are available upon prior
request.
Novice contestants will perform 1 Elvis song of their choice.
Prize and certificate for first place winner. |
